Sign in with Google / Credential Manager: Data safety form answers

If your Android app includes Sign in with Google / Credential Manager from Google, its data counts as data your app collects. What it collects depends on how you use it, so each data type below has a condition.

Matched dependencies: com.google.android.gms:play-services-auth, androidx.credentials:credentials, com.google.android.libraries.identity.googleid:googleid.

Data type When Collected Shared Purposes
Name If the app sends the profile or ID token off-device Yes No App functionality; Account management
Email address If the app sends the profile or ID token off-device Yes No App functionality; Account management
User IDs If the app sends the Google account ID or ID token off-device Yes No App functionality; Account management

The skill lists these under Needs your review and checks the code for the condition (for example a setUserId call) before you include them.

No vendor Play disclosure for these libraries was found (the Play services page covers only base, basement, oss-licenses and tasks). The sign-in flow returns the user’s name, email and Google account ID to the app; declare them only if the app sends them (or the ID token) off-device, e.g. to its own backend.

data-safety-from-code finds Sign in with Google / Credential Manager in your build.gradle or version catalog, adds these answers with a link to the source, and merges them with every other SDK and with what your own code sends. You get a CSV to import and a report showing where each answer comes from.
